[dropcap_1] C [/dropcap_1] hef Camer1 has been heavy on the grind the past few years doing collaboration projects with the War Tour and other Bay Area movements. He has also racked up frequent flyer miles traveling the planet with his paint crew Gospel Graffiti. With 2011 already half way over and countless studio hours under his belt, we finally get a taste of what Chef Camer1 has been cooking up in the lab. Dabbling in all the elements of hip-hop since an adolescent, Chef is considered a “jack of all trades.” Alongside his hip-hop career, he also travels internationally painting graffiti murals that represent his faith and multiple themes. He has also teamed up with long time friend Fasm and formed an impressive graffiti duo called Rattlecan Blasters. You can also find Chef running a youth center called Crossroads in the heart SF’s inner city, while simultaneously hosting break-dance and cipher sessions. Continuously on the move and impacting the globe, Chef is set for a double release baring his heart, soul, and way of life on the streets of San Francisco.

His first official release is Audio Motel (End of Earth Records / War Tour Productions), produced entirely by Error 96 of the underground collective Legion of Sub Par Emcees. The album is a journey into the mind of two individuals who are not pressured by the industry to produce the status quo. With Chef ‘s arsenal of styles and Error’s eclectic beat selection, Audio Motel is a fresh display of untainted creativity, raw lyrics, and steadfast confidence. His second official release is entitled Music Is My Silence (End of Earth Records / War Tour Productions). Produced by the artist himself, this album is a collection of material stating back from 2006 to 2010. Music Is My Silence displays Chef’s production versatility and maturing rhyme style. It’s a no holds barred, in your face, lyrical romp that touches on a wide variety of subjects that will keep your mind swirling. Available as a free download, Music Is My Silence is a hidden gem containing deep reflection and real life situations.
